Orange County, VA — On September 26, 2025, Orange County will welcome a new voice in local journalism: The Orange County Voice, a grassroots newspaper and online platform dedicated to telling the stories that matter most to our rural communities.
Created by the locals, for the locals, The Orange County Voice was born out of a simple idea: rural areas deserve their own trusted news source—one that listens, represents, and celebrates the people who live here. At a time when corporate media has become increasingly distant from the realities of small-town life, this new publication aims to bring the focus back home.
“Sometimes the most important stories don’t wait for permission,” says Publisher Jennifer A. Bailey. “We live here, we work here, we raise our families here—and we believe our community deserves a news source that reflects its heart, character, and future.”
The Orange County Voice will feature:
- In-depth profiles of local people, places, and events
- Highlights from all parts of the county — including the Town of Orange, Town of Gordonsville, Locust Grove, Unionville, and beyond
- Local weather, sports coverage, and even a community comic strip, Rocco & Ruby
The first issue will reach at least 8,000 people in both print and online formats. Inaugural advertisers will receive special placement, including a complimentary ad on the Best of Orange Citizens’ Choice Awards ballot.
Residents, businesses, and community organizations are invited to get involved — as readers, sponsors, storytellers, and citizen journalists. More information is available at: https://orangevirginia.com/the-orange-county-voice/
About The Orange County Voice:
The Orange County Voice is a grassroots media project committed to delivering honest, locally-driven news and features that strengthen community identity, foster civic pride, and keep residents informed. With professional oversight and a deep commitment to accuracy, we aim to be a trusted platform for the voices of Orange County. The publication is produced by Jennifer A. Bailey, publisher of Lake Anna Online and The Lake Anna Breeze, bringing years of experience in community-focused journalism and storytelling to Orange County.

Hi! I’m Jennifer Bailey and I partner with entrepreneurs who have massive ideas that could change the world. Most marketing is meaningless. Filled with empty promises, its only job is to bring in new traffic, new leads, and new customers. But I’ve drawn a line in the sand, and I’ve learned that marketing can do so much more than reach business goals and build profit. My methods give businesses the fire and soul they need to reach the right people, set the groundwork for sustainable relationships, and offer true value to the people on both the giving and receiving ends of marketing.
