Most people believe in the paranormal — even if they don’t realize it. Heaven and hell. God. The Holy Spirit. Angels. Or haunted houses, ghosts, the spirit realm. Almost all of us believe in something.
What intrigues me most is how comfortable we are with ideas we were brought up to dismiss — even when evidence is brought forward.
Lately, I’ve found myself drawn to something I’ve become slightly… obsessed with. Excited about, even.
Unidentified Aerial Phenomena.
Of course, we grew up calling them UFOs and aliens. But now we have sworn testimony in Congress claiming that non-human “biologics” have been recovered from crash sites — and what’s most fascinating is that… nobody seems to care.
I fervently listen to a podcaster named Payne Lindsey. He has an uncanny way of articulating what we’re already thinking — identifying a feeling that’s been sitting just beneath the surface. Through “Up and Vanished” and his more recent passion project, “High Strange” (season two covers audio from the congressional hearings on UAPs and alleged alien encounters), he pulls you into questions you didn’t even realize you were asking.
It feels like unless you see something with your own eyes, nothing can convince you of alien existence. It’s almost too fantastical — like ghosts.
And yet — at least for me — we’re obsessed with the idea. I mean… how could they not exist? Until I listened to the most recent season of High Strange, I hadn’t even heard about the congressional hearings that have been taking place for nearly three years. Why?
Have we seen too many alien movies? Are we too desensitized? Too disconnected from reality to grasp what alien existence would actually mean?
Or are we just quietly waiting for something undeniable? What do you think, readers?
Write to me at [email protected] — I want to hear your paranormal stories. I can’t wait.

Hi! I’m Jennifer Bailey and I partner with entrepreneurs who have massive ideas that could change the world. Most marketing is meaningless. Filled with empty promises, its only job is to bring in new traffic, new leads, and new customers. But I’ve drawn a line in the sand, and I’ve learned that marketing can do so much more than reach business goals and build profit. My methods give businesses the fire and soul they need to reach the right people, set the groundwork for sustainable relationships, and offer true value to the people on both the giving and receiving ends of marketing.
