W oof! I love my toys. I especially like when my toys are all over our pack-den—on the floor, the stairs, the bathroom. Everywhere! Sometimes my two-legged pack-dad steps on one by accident and makes grumpy two-legged pack-dad sounds, but he’s just an old two-legger and I know he’ll get over it.
So, I have this one toy I cannot live without. I carry it with me wherever I go. Even when I go in the big rolly box and go away for many sleeps with my pack-mom and pack-dad, I have to take this toy with me. So what is this magical toy? It’s my Red Stick!
How did I get this magic toy? Crazy enough, I have these two-legger friends who came to my pack-den and brought me the Red Stick. Out of the blue! What a lucky pooch I am. They live with Casey, the Golden Retriever. I think they’re Casey’s two-leggers.
One day, back when the days were cold outside and we had a tree in our house (I did not pee on the tree), Casey’s two-leggers showed up, came into our pack-den….and gave me my Red Stick! What the woof!
I love my Red Stick! Every morning, the first thing I do when I wake up is look for it. I carry it around all day and – if my pack-dad says “Bring your Red Stick” – I’m moving fast because I know he wants to play.
Here’s how to play: I wait until he’s almost asleep, then I push my Red Stick under the sofa, nudge his leg with my nose, sit back, and stare at his eyes. (He simply cannot choose to doze off when I’m in the middle of a play session, right?) He always gives me a mean look, but I think he still loves me and kind of likes my “game.”
I also love to chew on Red Stick. It has little nubby things inside that make my mouth feel good when I chew on it. I also like to put it on the floor and then flip over and roll on it to scratch my back. (Ahhh…..!)
At night, I even like to sleep with my Red Stick because I know it will be there when I wake up and I’ll be playing with it all day the next day. I hope all four-leggers—and two-leggers—have something they love as much as my Red Stick.

Hi! I’m Jennifer Bailey and I partner with entrepreneurs who have massive ideas that could change the world. Most marketing is meaningless. Filled with empty promises, its only job is to bring in new traffic, new leads, and new customers. But I’ve drawn a line in the sand, and I’ve learned that marketing can do so much more than reach business goals and build profit. My methods give businesses the fire and soul they need to reach the right people, set the groundwork for sustainable relationships, and offer true value to the people on both the giving and receiving ends of marketing.
