Here’s a question for you. Where do you go when you want to go out for a drink, dinner, a coffee or an ice cream but you also want to bring your favorite four-legged sidekick? Well, the Lake Anna Breeze™ has you covered with the 2023 Woofie Awards presented to establishments who welcome your four-legged family friend!
2023 Woofie Awards
Log Home Brewing Company tops the list as a wonderful place for food, family and furry friends. If you’re lucky, you will be greeted by Log Home’s in-house four-legger, Magnum (pictured on front page). Log Home welcomes well behavedpets on leashes in their large courtyard and in their indoor areas. When it comes to your pets, don’t leave home without them!
The Lake Anna Taphouse has long been a family and pet friendly establishment. The Taphouse actually installed water taps (with handles like beer taps) on the patio outside and provides bowls so your pet can have water while you enjoy the views, the fun and the brews. Taphouse owner, Brian Gilbreth notes, “We love our four-legged friends! What’s better than sharing a cold one with your pup!”
Callie Opie’s Orchard is very pet friendly. According to owner, Mike Kavros, “Callie Opie’s continues our tradition of being pet-friendly on our grounds which includes our covered paver patio and event barn during entertainment.” Kavros adds, “A crowd favorite is Chaos the German Shepherd!”
El Gran Patron on the south end of the lake features a massive patio with arguably the best views of Lake Anna. It’s a great place to have lunch or dinner while enjoying sunsets with your four-legged pal by your side.
Vito’s At Lake Anna loves to welcome pets outside on their patio. You get to enjoy the fresh made pasta and pizzas while sneaking a bite to that friend at your feet. Owner Rosie Taormina notes, “We believe that every meal is better when shared with our furry friends, and our pet-friendly patio welcomes all dog lovers to savor great moments together.”
DK’s Coffee and Ice Cream offers great outdoor picnic seating and features a free pup cup of whip cream to satisfy your pup’s sweet tooth. Owner Darren Welch explains, “DK’s also stands for Dog & Kid friendly! It brings a smile to our faces as the dogs know this is where they come for their pup cups!”
Cooling Pond Brewery features award-winning beer along with beautful grounds and a dog-friendly patio. Owner John Pope notes, “We welcome our furry friends on our patio and spacious yard! We always keep dog bowls with cold water and dog treats at our counter.”
