On September 19th weekend, Cutalong held its biggest member-guest tournament to date. A member-guest tournament consists of two player teams, one Cutalong member and one guest. This tournament is a great opportunity for members to showcase their club to their friends who visit for a weekend of fun. Over the three day event, there was plenty of food, games, cigar and whiskey tasting, and multiple formats of golf.
The tournament consisted of 108 players broken down into nine flights all organized by player’s combined golf handicaps. The winner of each flight then compete in a 3-hole playoff shootout. The winner of the shoot is the overall champion. Each flight winner received a trophy, proshop credit, and a Cutalong logoed charcuterie board. The overall winner received an additional trophy, an autographed Cutalong golf flag signed by each participant.
A 3-hole playoff shootout is a high-stakes format used to determine the overall champion in a golf tournament when multiple flight winners compete against each other. In this format, each player or team plays three consecutive holes, with the cumulative score across those holes determining the winner. The pressure is intense as each shot matters, and there’s little room for error.
The weekend also consisted of closest to the hole prizes, skins & flight winner money, a putting and chipping contest, and amazing food and drinks all put together by Cutalong’s staff. The overall winner of the member-guest tournament was member Doug Smoot and his guest Adrian Scott. Cutalong is looking forward to hosting next year’s tournament in our new golf clubhouse.
Hi! I’m Jennifer Bailey and I partner with entrepreneurs who have massive ideas that could change the world. Most marketing is meaningless. Filled with empty promises, its only job is to bring in new traffic, new leads, and new customers. But I’ve drawn a line in the sand, and I’ve learned that marketing can do so much more than reach business goals and build profit. My methods give businesses the fire and soul they need to reach the right people, set the groundwork for sustainable relationships, and offer true value to the people on both the giving and receiving ends of marketing.
