Start with the Base: Place the dinner plate in the center of each setting as the main piece. If you’re using a charger (a decorative plate underneath), set it first, with the dinner plate on top. When including a salad or appetizer plate, place it on top of the dinner plate. Fold the napkin neatly or try a decorative fold to add a bit of flair.
Align the Utensils: On the left, arrange forks. Start with the smaller appetizer or salad fork on the outer left, then place the main course fork closest to the plate. On the right side, place the knife nearest the plate with the blade facing inward. If a spoon is needed, set it next to the knife. Ensure all utensils are aligned evenly at the bottom.
Glassware & Finishing Touch: Above the knife, place the water glass. If you’re serving wine, position the red and white wine glasses to the right of the water glass in a small triangle formation. Add any final touches, like a bread plate with a butter knife above the forks, and a decorative item or name card for a welcoming setting.
Hi! I’m Jennifer Bailey and I partner with entrepreneurs who have massive ideas that could change the world. Most marketing is meaningless. Filled with empty promises, its only job is to bring in new traffic, new leads, and new customers. But I’ve drawn a line in the sand, and I’ve learned that marketing can do so much more than reach business goals and build profit. My methods give businesses the fire and soul they need to reach the right people, set the groundwork for sustainable relationships, and offer true value to the people on both the giving and receiving ends of marketing.
