Lance Frye, the owner and visionary behind Woodcrafters Furniture and Cabinetry, has a story that resonates with the quintessential American dream. Born in Quantico and raised in Woodbridge, Frye dedicated a decade of his life to serving in the Marine Corps. When his service ended, he faced a crossroads: the structured life he knew was gone, and he was thrust into the uncertainty of civilian life.

It was a simple family need that sparked his entrepreneurial journey. Frye’s late wife, Laura Linda, wanted a table and six chairs. With a thousand-dollar loan on a credit card and a determination to fulfill his wife’s wish, Frye built that table. This humble project planted the seeds for what would become a thriving business. “I got two real problems,” Frye reflects with a grin, “One, I’m an entrepreneurial-minded small biz problem, and two, I’m a former Marine. They ruined me by telling me I can do anything I put my mind to.”
Frye, who also has a store located off of Bragg Rd. in Fredericksburg, is now open for business at his 2,100 sf warehouse in Thornburg. Walking through the aisles of Woodcrafters, visitors can’t help but feel the personal touch in each piece. The furniture is more than just wood and nails; it’s a narrative of dedication, and his love for his late wife.
Shoppers can find all of their lake house essentials, including recycled milk jug chairs and tables, custom kitchen cabinets, entertainment units, man cave and she-shed essentials, and unique outdoor patio and deck pieces. Every item is a piece of art, meticulously crafted to meet the highest standards of quality and aesthetics.
Frye is in the process of setting up electrical permits with the county for custom furniture as well.
You can find Woodcrafters Furniture and Cabinetry by exit 118 off I95, at 6136 Patriot Hwy in Woodford, VA. Look up https://www.woodcraftersfurniturestore.com/ or find them on Facebook for a preview of what they have in stock.

Hi! I’m Jennifer Bailey and I partner with entrepreneurs who have massive ideas that could change the world. Most marketing is meaningless. Filled with empty promises, its only job is to bring in new traffic, new leads, and new customers. But I’ve drawn a line in the sand, and I’ve learned that marketing can do so much more than reach business goals and build profit. My methods give businesses the fire and soul they need to reach the right people, set the groundwork for sustainable relationships, and offer true value to the people on both the giving and receiving ends of marketing.
