Editor Jennifer Bailey, Readers’ Choice Gold Winner for Best Innovator; Silver for Best Business Person

Since practicing as editor of her college newspaper, Jen has been weaving magic through words as the visionary behind Lake Anna Media Group. A storyteller at heart, Jen’s journey began in the bustling newsrooms of California, where her passion for writing took root. After relocating to Virginia, she transformed her college dorm room into the birthplace of her first digital marketing consultancy, crafting compelling narratives.

Jen’s approach to marketing transcends traditional boundaries. She doesn’t just create content; she breathes life into it. Early in her career, she embraced the world of inbound, content-based marketing, where her efforts started to see organic results from all over the world, driving remarkable market growth. This success solidified her belief in the power of the written word to connect, inspire, and transform.

Jen’s unique perspective as both a mother of four and a marketer informs her holistic approach to her work. She believes that marketing, much like parenting, should nurture genuine connections and foster meaningful relationships.

Jen envisions a future where marketing is more than just a tool for profit. To her, it’s a superpower capable of sparking cultural change and promoting authenticity. “Most marketing is meaningless,” she asserts, “but what if we did more than just reach business goals and build profit? What if we could change the world?”

As she continues to write her own story, Jen invites entrepreneurs with larger than life ideas to join her businesses to reclaim their marketing, infusing it with purpose and passion. “Relationships over transactions,” she emphasizes, guiding her clients towards sustainable success.

Jen lives at Lake Anna full time with her husband, David (also known as the pirate of Lake Anna) and their four children. Managing The Breeze, Lake Anna Online and Best of Lake Anna keeps her days full, but in the evenings she enjoys live music and karaoke.
