LOUISA, VA: April 8, 2025 — The Louisa Arts Center is pleased to announce that
the next show in the Purcell Gallery will be entitled “The National Art Honor Society
Showcase” and will include work from Louisa County High School art students in
grades 9-12 who are members of the local National Art Honor Society chapter.
Students in the local NAHS chapter apply to become members and are held to high
academic and arts standards. They must maintain good grades, have no disciplinary
issues at school and have a passion for art. They also are required to participate in
local community service events to remain active members.
This year, students participated in craft activities at the Louisa Rehab and Nursing
Center, organized and set up for the Fine Arts Festival held at LCHS, the LCPS
Kindness Day, and readied a fundraiser for the Resource Council. They also did
several face-painting events at local elementary school festivals. Students who remain
in good standing graduate with honor cords in their senior year. More information can
be found at https://www.arteducators.org/national-art-honor-societies
The show will be curated by Alexandra LaBarr – who is an art teacher extraordinaire at
Louisa County High School. There will be an opening reception on Friday, April 11th
from 6:00-8:00pm in the Purcell Gallery and the showcase will run through June 6th
The Purcell Gallery is open free of charge to the public during box office hours,
Tuesday through Friday from 11:00-2:00pm and one hour before each performance in
the Cooke-Haley Theater.

Hi! I’m Jennifer Bailey and I partner with entrepreneurs who have massive ideas that could change the world. Most marketing is meaningless. Filled with empty promises, its only job is to bring in new traffic, new leads, and new customers. But I’ve drawn a line in the sand, and I’ve learned that marketing can do so much more than reach business goals and build profit. My methods give businesses the fire and soul they need to reach the right people, set the groundwork for sustainable relationships, and offer true value to the people on both the giving and receiving ends of marketing.
