A dedicated software engineer by day and an inspiring live musician by night, Kennedy O’Hanley’s life is a blend of creativity and logic… from the keyboard to the guitar and ukulele.
“I have been singing since before I can remember,” O’Hanley reminisces. Her fondest memories are the constant backdrop of music in her life, a seed planted by her parents. Having played at various venues across Virginia, Kennedy holds a special place in her heart for the venues around Lake Anna. “The crowd is always filled with such fun people, and I love the wide array of music I get to play!” she exclaims.
Kennedy’s musical inspirations are as diverse as her talents. Recently, she has been captivated by the storytelling prowess of Noah Kahan and Meg Moroney. She is also a fan of Kelsea Ballerini and Chris Stapleton. These artists’ abilities to weave stories into their songs deeply resonate with her.
When asked about her dream venue, Kennedy’s eyes light up with excitement. “Red Rocks Amphitheater for sure,” she says, describing its beauty and the thrill it would be to perform there. Another dream of hers is to share the stage with Zach Bryan.
Kennedy has recently ventured into songwriting, drawing inspiration from characters in books and movies, as well as her own experiences. Although she has mostly performed solo, she finds joy in the challenge of playing everything herself and looks forward to incorporating her original songs into her sets.
