Named Best Cover/House Band in the 2024 Best of Lake Anna contest, Cheap Whiskey has been rocking the local scene for 14 years, with its current lineup holding strong for the past eight. Known for their dynamic performances, the band features Brandon Collier on lead vocals and bass, Elvin Davis on lead guitar and vocals, Joey Duty on rhythm and electric guitar, and Kevin Elmore on drums.
“Playing music is the number one thing that we all want to do!” said Elmore. “We all have other different hobbies from gardening to riding motorcycles.”
Locally rooted, Cheap Whiskey has played at iconic venues like The Jefferson, where they bring their signature mix of covers and a few originals to life. Their sound pays tribute to Southern rock legends like The Marshall Tucker Band, and they’ve opened for popular acts such as Zoso, Cody Purvis, and Lenny Cooper. With a weekend-packed schedule, they have become a staple of the Lake Anna music scene, delivering a show designed to match the vibe of their audience.
