In the early hours of October 25, Sergeant R. Lewis of the Louisa County Sheriff’s Office discovered a single-vehicle crash while on routine patrol in the 6600 block of Lawyers Road. The accident occurred around 1:00 a.m. as the driver, Michael Mitchell Jr., 49, of Louisa County, was traveling east on Lawyers Road when he reportedly lost control of his vehicle. The 1999 Honda Accord struck a guardrail before overturning down a nearby embankment. Tragically, Mr. Mitchell, the sole occupant of the vehicle, was pronounced dead at the scene.
The incident is currently under investigation by the Sheriff’s Office Accident Reconstruction Team, which is working to determine the precise cause of the crash. Officials expressed their condolences in a public statement, saying, “Our thoughts and prayers are with the family and friends of Mr. Mitchell during this difficult time.”
Mike Mitchell was lovingly known in the Lake Anna community as “DJ Mike.”
Updates on the investigation will be provided by the Sheriff’s Office as further details emerge.

Hi! I’m Jennifer Bailey and I partner with entrepreneurs who have massive ideas that could change the world. Most marketing is meaningless. Filled with empty promises, its only job is to bring in new traffic, new leads, and new customers. But I’ve drawn a line in the sand, and I’ve learned that marketing can do so much more than reach business goals and build profit. My methods give businesses the fire and soul they need to reach the right people, set the groundwork for sustainable relationships, and offer true value to the people on both the giving and receiving ends of marketing.
