In an exciting change for residents in the Town of Mineral and surrounding areas, the long-standing Suds City Laundromat on Mineral Avenue in the Mineral Town Square has recently changed hands, ushering in a new era under fresh ownership. The establishment, a longstanding fixture for locals, has been undergoing exciting transformations as the new owner brings his innovative vision to the local establishment.

Paul Snyder, the new proprietor, shared his enthusiasm about purchasing the laundromat. “I’ve always admired the sense of community fostered in this laundromat,” Snyder commented. “Our goal is to build upon that foundation and enhance the overall experience for our customers.”

On the first morning, in his newly named Mineral Laundromat, Snyder found that about half the washers were in operation and only 64% of the dryers worked.

Snyder made good on his statement. Less than six weeks after buying the laundromat, two larger washers were added to the fleet and the rest were operational. Four new larger dryers were also added to the existing dryers that were now in working order.

Patrons can expect more in the revamped interior. “The vending machines are stocked with soda and snacks and the walls will get new paint to bring fun to the inside,” said Snyder. Future plans also include adding two even larger washers so customers can launder bedcovers and blankets.

The Snyder family is no stranger to doing laundry. Marie Snyder, Paul’s wife, is the owner of Lake Anna Linens. While owning a laundromat goes hand in hand with owning a linen service, Snyder said that the focus of the laundromat is their existing loyal customers as well as growing their customer base. ”I am happy to be part of this community. Providing the public with a service is very fulfilling.”

Moreover, Snyder emphasized the importance of community. “It is great to be providing a service that the community needs. I have received a lot of positive feedback. I look forward to continuing to grow and improving the place for the Town and new patrons from Lake Anna.” The spirit of positivity and anticipation is palpable among residents, with promises of a revamped space, enhanced services, and a commitment to community.

Open 24/7, The Mineral Laundromat is located in the Mineral Town Square at 127 Mineral Ave, Mineral VA. Washers range from $3.00 – $6.00 per load depending on the washer size. The dryers are 25 cents for 5 or 7.5 minutes depending on dryer size.
