This policy applies to all publications and media platforms under Lake Media Group, including The Lake Anna Breeze and any affiliated print or digital publications.
Our mission is to produce independent, community-focused journalism that serves our readers with integrity, clarity, and trust. To protect that integrity, we maintain the following editorial standards:
Editorial Content
All editorial content is created, written, and reviewed exclusively by Lake Media Group writers and editors.
- Editorial decisions are reserved solely for our writers and editorial team.
- Drafts of editorial stories are not shared prior to publication.
- While we may occasionally provide a preview at our discretion, it is not standard policy.
- Editorial content remains confidential until officially published.
This policy ensures journalistic independence, accuracy, and consistency across all Lake Media Group publications.
Sponsored Content & Advertising
Sponsored content, advertorial features, and paid advertisements are handled separately from editorial content.
- All sponsored content and advertisements receive preview approval prior to publication.
- Advertisers are given the opportunity to review layout, copy, and creative elements for accuracy.
- Final approval is required before sponsored materials are published in print or digital formats.
We maintain clear and intentional boundaries between independent editorial work and paid placements to ensure transparency for our readers and partners.
Artificial Intelligence (AI) Use & Disclosure Policy
Lake Media Group may utilize artificial intelligence tools to assist with:
- Research support
- Transcription
- Draft structuring
- Editing assistance
- Brainstorming and content development
However:
- All published content is reviewed, edited, and approved by a human editor.
- AI is never used to fabricate quotes, events, sources, or factual reporting.
- AI does not replace editorial oversight or accountability.
- AI-generated images, illustrations, or graphics will be disclosed when used.
- Sponsored content incorporating AI tools remains subject to full editorial review.
AI is treated as a tool to enhance efficiency — not a substitute for responsible journalism.
Corrections & Clarifications Policy
Accuracy matters. When errors occur, we correct them promptly.
- Readers may request corrections by contacting our editorial team.
- Verified factual errors will be corrected in a timely manner.
- Substantive corrections will include a note indicating the update.
- Minor edits (grammar, formatting, clarity) may or may not be made without formal notice.
- Opinion disagreements do not constitute factual errors.
- If a correction is needed, the editorial team will decide the final edits and formatting.
We are committed to transparency and accountability.
Lake Media Group “WE Design” Advertising Policy
This policy applies to all advertisements designed by Lake Media Group on behalf of clients across all Lake Media Group publications and platforms.
1. Client Responsibilities
Clients who select the “WE Design” option agree to provide all necessary creative assets in a complete and timely manner.
Required materials include:
- High resolution logo files (vector or print quality formats preferred)
- Photos in high resolution
- All copy and messaging to be included in the ad
- Business details including contact information, website, and social links
- Brand guidelines, colors, or fonts if applicable
- Any required disclaimers or legal language
Clients are responsible for being thorough and accurate when submitting materials. Missing, incomplete, or low resolution assets may impact the final design.
Failure to provide complete materials in a timely manner may result in delayed drafts or publication without further revision opportunity.
2. Design Timeline & Draft Process
Lake Media Group will provide a first draft of the advertisement as late as 24 hours prior to the print deadline. In some cases, drafts may be delivered later if the advertising order is received close to deadline.
Upon receiving the first draft:
- Clients have one business day to submit edits.
- All edits must be submitted clearly in writing.
- Requests must be made in a timely manner to maintain production schedules.
After receiving revisions, Lake Media Group will provide a second draft.
3. Revision Policy
After the second draft:
- One final set of grammar only changes will be made at no charge.
- Any additional design edits beyond this point are billed at $50 per revision round.
- Design revisions do not include full redesigns.
Excessive revision requests or major creative changes may require additional design fees.
4. Approval & Deadlines
Final written approval of the advertisement must be received at least 24 hours prior to the publication or print date.
If approval is not received within that timeframe:
- Lake Media Group reserves the right to remove the advertisement from the issue or platform.
- No refund will be issued for ads removed due to lack of approval.
Production schedules must be maintained for all advertisers.
5. Refund Policy
Refunds are not available based on subjective dissatisfaction with design.
If a client does not approve the creative direction:
- The client may submit their own completed advertisement.
- The client may hire an outside designer.
- Final ad files must be submitted at least 48 hours prior to the publishing deadline.
- Files must meet Lake Media Group print and digital specifications.
Failure to submit a completed replacement ad within the required timeframe may result in forfeiture of placement without refund.
6. File Submission Standards (If Client Provides Their Own Ad)
Client-submitted ads must:
- Be high resolution print-ready PDF or approved format
- Meet sizing specifications exactly
- Include bleed if required
- Be submitted no later than 48 hours prior to publication
Lake Media Group is not responsible for quality issues resulting from client-supplied files.
7. Final Authority
Lake Media Group reserves the right to:
- Refuse advertisements that do not meet design, formatting, or content standards
- Remove ads containing misleading, inappropriate, or unverified claims
- Enforce deadlines to protect publication schedules
By selecting the “WE Design” option, clients agree to the above process and policies.
