Several Lake Anna–area nonprofit organizations were among 35 groups awarded grants totaling $300,000 through the Amazon Rappahannock Region Community Fund, a partnership between Amazon and the Community Foundation of the Rappahannock River Region.
The grants were announced during a Feb. 5 reception at The Silk Mill in Fredericksburg and will support nonprofit initiatives serving Louisa, Spotsylvania, Stafford and Caroline counties. Funding focuses on six priority areas: STEM education, sustainability and environmental stewardship, community development, digital skills, cultural heritage preservation, and health and wellbeing.
Organizations serving both Louisa and Spotsylvania counties that received funding include Catholic Charities of the Diocese of Arlington, Cyber Bytes Foundation, Gwyneth’s Gift Foundation, Louisa Area Students Educational Robotics, Mental Health America of Fredericksburg, the UMW Foundation and the Virginia Tech Foundation for the benefit of Virginia Cooperative Extension programs.
In Louisa County, recipients included the Fluvanna-Louisa Housing Foundation, Louisa Arts Center, Louisa County Historical Society, Louisa County Public Schools, Louisa Education Foundation, Louisa Forward Foundation and Louisa Scout Troop 3.
One of the grant recipients, Louisa Forward Foundation, focuses on strengthening Louisa County by investing in leadership development, education, workforce pathways and community initiatives that support long-term economic vitality. In partnership with the Louisa County Chamber of Commerce, the foundation advances entrepreneurship, civic engagement and inclusive growth that benefits businesses, nonprofits and residents throughout the county.
“Being surrounded by the organizations and leaders represented at this celebration, you could truly feel the power of partnership,” said Tracy Hale Clark, Executive Director of the Louisa Forward Foundation and the Louisa County Chamber of Commerce. “Through the Chamber and the Louisa Forward Foundation, we witness every day how business investment strengthens community impact, and we are grateful for Amazon’s commitment to advancing meaningful progress and impact across Louisa County.”
The foundation’s Leadership Louisa program will mark its fifth anniversary in 2026, expanding the six-month leadership development initiative with the addition of scholarships and the creation of an alumni council. The program builds community leadership skills through expert-led sessions and action-based projects designed to address local needs and strengthen civic engagement.
The grant expands access to leadership development through participant scholarships, an alumni council, and community-based action projects—strengthening the people and partnerships that drive Louisa County forward.
“Leadership is the foundation of a strong, connected community,” said Clark. “This investment from Amazon supports the people who step up to serve, collaborate, and lead across Louisa County.
Being recognized alongside so many impactful local organizations reinforced how powerful community investment can be when it’s rooted locally.”
Through the Amazon Rappahannock Region Community Fund, regional nonprofits are positioned to expand programs, deepen community impact and continue strengthening the Lake Anna area and surrounding counties.

Hi! I’m Jennifer Bailey and I partner with entrepreneurs who have massive ideas that could change the world. Most marketing is meaningless. Filled with empty promises, its only job is to bring in new traffic, new leads, and new customers. But I’ve drawn a line in the sand, and I’ve learned that marketing can do so much more than reach business goals and build profit. My methods give businesses the fire and soul they need to reach the right people, set the groundwork for sustainable relationships, and offer true value to the people on both the giving and receiving ends of marketing.
