For the third year in a row, Good Hope Baptist Church will welcome families from across the community for its beloved Christmas celebration; a tradition that has quickly become a local favorite. Each December, the church fills with laughter, music, and holiday excitement as children and parents gather for a morning designed to capture the spirit of the season.
The day begins with Breakfast with Santa, where kids line up, some shy, some bursting with excitement, to share their Christmas wishes with Santa and Mrs. Claus. Pancakes topped with warm syrup, giggles from little ones, and flashes from parents’ cameras create a scene that feels straight out of a Christmas movie.
But the heart of the event lies in the Bethlehem Shop, a magical space where children are guided by cheerful “elf helpers” to choose and wrap gifts for their families. For many kids, it’s their first experience not just receiving gifts, but giving them; an unforgettable moment that reinforces the joy of generosity.
As the event enters its third year, the mission remains the same: to show families that Christmas is about love, giving, and community.
While the Christmas celebration draws a crowd every winter, Good Hope Baptist Church offers family-centered programs all year long that are designed to support children, teens, and parents in their faith journeys.
Beyond this cherished tradition, the church offers year-round family programs, including a lively Sunday Children’s Church with music, puppet shows, skits, and crafts that make learning fun and memorable, as well as Thursday evening kids’ lessons with dinner, crafts, and games. Teens gather on Thursdays at 6 p.m. for youth group, where they enjoy dinner, practical lessons, and fun activities, along with monthly outings. To learn more, go to Goodhopelive.com.

Hi! I’m Jennifer Bailey and I partner with entrepreneurs who have massive ideas that could change the world. Most marketing is meaningless. Filled with empty promises, its only job is to bring in new traffic, new leads, and new customers. But I’ve drawn a line in the sand, and I’ve learned that marketing can do so much more than reach business goals and build profit. My methods give businesses the fire and soul they need to reach the right people, set the groundwork for sustainable relationships, and offer true value to the people on both the giving and receiving ends of marketing.
