Lake Anna has a solid selection of restaurants serving up delicious seafood delights – from crab and shrimp platters to fish tacos. The most popular (and largest) establishments on the lake are Tim’s Crabhouse and The Cove Restaurant, although the restaurant that raves the best seafood reviews may be the Tasty Crab, a small Chinese and seafood restaurant off of 208 by New Bridge.
Here are the three signature seafood restaurants:
Tim’s Restaurant & Crabhouse at Lake Anna
Tim’s Restaurant boasts a large indoor seating area, a beautiful indoor bar, as well as a beautiful deck overlooking the lake. With ample parking and boat docks, this is one of the most popular meal destinations both on and off the water. Not to mention, the Lake Anna Boardwalk where its located also offers putt putt and Moo Thru, Lake Anna’s favorite ice cream parlor on the lower level.
At Tim’s Restaurant & Crabhouse, the menu is a seafood lover’s dream. The highlights include their signature steamed platters with crab and shrimp, surf & turf options, as well as a variety of fish sandwiches. Their seafood pasta is also a popular choices for locals and visitors. But it’s not all about seafood here; their hush puppies, crispy on the outside and soft within, are a perfect side dish. Their mixed drink menu boasts a long list of several dozen drink choices, including their secret “Killer Driller” which is often available by the bucket, as well as the glass.
Tim’s has one other location in Kings George.
The Cove at Lake Anna
The Cove is another large, one-the-water dining location with a beautiful view of the lake. Located at Hunter’s Landing, The Cove is a two-story restaurant with indoor seating, a large, indoor bar, a top deck outside overlooking the water, as well as a lower level indoor/outdoor bar and seating area with a stage and indoor tent during the winter.
The Cove may be the most popular local hangout around the lake, with bands and DJs year round, holiday parties and weekly Karaoke.
The menu at The Cove is similar to Tim’s with seafood platters, sandwiches, burgers and fish. They have a full bar.
Tasty Crab Seafood & Chinese
Most restaurants can fit into more than one category at Lake Anna. Both Tims and The Cove offer a variety of American dishes like burgers and fries. But The Tasty Crab truly does offer two different types of food variety: Chinese food (like sweet and sour chicken and fried rice), and a wide variety of seafood.
The Tasty Crab is a small takeout restaurant with a couple of small tables. They have traditional seafood boil buckets with everything from muscles and snow crab to shrimp and lobster.

Hi! I’m Jennifer Bailey and I partner with entrepreneurs who have massive ideas that could change the world. Most marketing is meaningless. Filled with empty promises, its only job is to bring in new traffic, new leads, and new customers. But I’ve drawn a line in the sand, and I’ve learned that marketing can do so much more than reach business goals and build profit. My methods give businesses the fire and soul they need to reach the right people, set the groundwork for sustainable relationships, and offer true value to the people on both the giving and receiving ends of marketing.
