MINERAL, VA — Just minutes from Lake Anna, a new community grocery store is redefining what it means to “shop local.” The Market @ Meredith Farm, located at 2820 Gardners Road, has opened its doors, offering farm-fresh goods straight from the source — and they’re celebrating with a grand opening event on Sunday, May 18, from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m.

Though farming is nothing new for Meredith Farm, the store is a fresh addition to the family’s longstanding agricultural operation. Specializing in grass-fed beef, pasture-raised pork, and farm-fresh eggs, the Market prides itself on sourcing as much as possible from local farms with whom they have strong, trusted relationships.
In addition to locally raised meats, the Market offers soy- and corn-free meat chickens sourced from Amish farms in Farmville, all raised without GMOs, antibiotics, or hormones. Fresh bread arrives Tuesdays and Fridays from a bakery in Richmond, while milk and ice cream are delivered Thursdays from Richlands Dairy in Blackstone, VA.
While not every item is from Virginia soil, the philosophy remains the same. The Market proudly stocks small-batch products like olives and pasta from independent, family-owned businesses, ensuring that every purchase supports a small business somewhere.
Conveniently located just 15-20 minutes from Lake Anna (or 24 minutes from the Food Lion at Kentucky Springs), The Market @ Meredith Farm is open Monday through Saturday, 9:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m., and Sundays from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m.
Grand Opening Celebration – May 18
To kick off their new venture, The Market is hosting a Farmers Market-Style Grand Opening Event on Sunday, May 18, from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m.
Highlights include:
- Live music by the fan-favorite Butch Duke Band
- Delicious eats from On the Grill RVA Food Truck
- Local vendors and farm-fresh products to explore
The event promises to be a fun, family-friendly afternoon celebrating local food, local music, and local community spirit.

Hi! I’m Jennifer Bailey and I partner with entrepreneurs who have massive ideas that could change the world. Most marketing is meaningless. Filled with empty promises, its only job is to bring in new traffic, new leads, and new customers. But I’ve drawn a line in the sand, and I’ve learned that marketing can do so much more than reach business goals and build profit. My methods give businesses the fire and soul they need to reach the right people, set the groundwork for sustainable relationships, and offer true value to the people on both the giving and receiving ends of marketing.
