Woof! I love it when my pack-mom and pack-dad take me with them. I really don’t care where they’re going…as long as I get to go, too! Between you and me, there is one favorite place that I love to go to. It has funny grass that doesn’t grow very long and has a weird smell, but otherwise it’s about the most perfect place ever.
One of the reasons I absolutely love this place is that there always seems to be lots of four-leggers there. So, I get to make friends every time I go! Sometimes when I go to this place, my four-legged friends, Casey and Summer, are there. (They look kind of alike with lighter colored, long hair. They’re both pretty chill and don’t try to bite me like the little dogs sometimes do.)
Anyway, this place is fun because my two-legged pack-family and all their friends drink the golden water and talk and laugh. At the same time, we four-leggers are just hanging out, catching an occasional crotch-sniff and sneaking a treat here and there from our two-leggers. It ain’t half bad.
Lots of times, they have the people on the big box making the funny sounds and baying like beagles. Sometimes a bunch of two-leggers are up there making all sorts of racket and baying like a whole pack of beagles. My two-legged pack-dad and pack-mom absolutely love to listen to this. They call it “live tunes”. Honestly, I don’t get it. It’s not like it’s fetching, or swimming or something really fun. What the woof?
Now, please don’t think I’m complaining. I don’t care how much noise those people up on the box make. I don’t care if the little dogs bite at me. I’ll put up with the noise and the nips just to go to my happy place! I know my two-leggers love it when I’m happy. I think I like it when they’re happy, too.
(Translator’s note: Beau just loves the Lake Anna Taphouse. They are incredibly dog-friendly and he always seems to make new friends there.)
