Lake Anna is about to crown its very first Miss Lake Anna, and for a good cause. The Miss Lake Anna pageant is scheduled for September 8, 2024, at 1:30 PM at Lake Anna Rescue, Inc (LARI). The event will feature contestants of all ages competing for titles with proceeds going towards critical services provided by LARI, including emergency response services in Bumpass.
The pageant is open to participants aged two and up, including a Ms. and Mrs. Division for women aged 23 and beyond. Residents of all counties are welcome to participate. The focus is not just on crowns and sashes but on uniting the community to support Lake Anna Rescue, Inc.
“We’re thrilled to host our first-ever pageant to support Lake Anna Rescue, Inc. It’s a celebration of our community’s spirit and a way to help ensure that this vital service continues to operate,” said Casey Hollins, pageant coordinator.
The pageant is part of the ‘Lifesaver Challenge’, a multi-team competition to raise funds for LARI. The teams are in competition with each other to raise the most funds. Funds will support the purchase of critical life-saving equipment, including EMS equipment and a new rescue boat for the private side of Lake Anna.
Other planned team activities for the Lifesaver Challenge include a Zombie Golf Tournament, a Benefit Auction, as well as a free opening ceremony at Bumpass Water Ski Club on Saturday, September 14th to include live entertainment, kids games, a first responders parade and more.
Hi! I’m Jennifer Bailey and I partner with entrepreneurs who have massive ideas that could change the world. Most marketing is meaningless. Filled with empty promises, its only job is to bring in new traffic, new leads, and new customers. But I’ve drawn a line in the sand, and I’ve learned that marketing can do so much more than reach business goals and build profit. My methods give businesses the fire and soul they need to reach the right people, set the groundwork for sustainable relationships, and offer true value to the people on both the giving and receiving ends of marketing.
