There’s nothing quite like the holidays at Lake Anna — for those of us who don’t flock to Florida, that is!
The tourist season may slow down, but the activity and gatherings for locals certainly do not. And at the heart of it all? Giving. I haven’t seen a community group yet that doesn’t consistently give back.
Lake Anna Roosters & Foxes hosts an annual blood drive, alongside year-round fundraisers like darts for charity, the Men of Lake Anna calendar, and Christmas gifts for local children. The Santa Council provides holiday assistance to families in need — meals, food, clothing, toys — just to name a few.
And somehow, our small-town hearts grow three sizes with every act of kindness.
This year, we wanted to capture that feeling and turn it into something truly unique and unforgettable. So, our team dreamed up a little event called Mistletoe & Matches: Charity Date Auction, and teamed up with Bougie B for Single Moms and Lake Anna Winery to bring it to life.
It’s exactly what it sounds like — a night of laughter, good company, and good-natured bidding where you can win experiences donated by local businesses, and yes… even dinner “dates” with singles!
We’ve got everything from sunset cruises with Cruise Rusty, a 4-night getaway to Siesta Key, to dinner with the ever-fabulous Devon Dempsey, and even a private party performance by The Lake Dawgs — because who doesn’t want to dance the night away for a good cause?
Yes, it’s lighthearted. Yes, it’s a little mischievous. But most of all, it’s meaningful. Every dollar raised goes right back into the community — supporting single moms who are working hard to provide for their families and could use a little support from us here at Lake Anna.
So, grab your holiday spirit (and maybe a Santa hat), and join us November 21st at Lake Anna Winery for a night under the mistletoe — where gratitude is up for bid.

Hi! I’m Jennifer Bailey and I partner with entrepreneurs who have massive ideas that could change the world. Most marketing is meaningless. Filled with empty promises, its only job is to bring in new traffic, new leads, and new customers. But I’ve drawn a line in the sand, and I’ve learned that marketing can do so much more than reach business goals and build profit. My methods give businesses the fire and soul they need to reach the right people, set the groundwork for sustainable relationships, and offer true value to the people on both the giving and receiving ends of marketing.
