The Belmont Ruritan Club hosted its inaugural bingo game on September 19 to raise scholarship funds for seniors at Louisa, Spotsylvania, and Orange County high schools.

Longtime Lake Anna residents Sam and Tina Cashman served as game masters, keeping the fun going for more than 60 attendees. Players paid $10 for a set of 10 games (three boards per game), with half of all entry fees returned as prizes. The final round winner took home $125.
The Ruritans also kept everyone fed, thanks to Jim and Donna Morris, who served up ballpark favorites including hot dogs and pulled pork sandwiches.
The next bingo nights are scheduled for October 24 and November 14 at the Ruritan Club on Belmont Road. Doors open at 5:30 p.m., games begin at 6 p.m., and—as always—food and drinks will be available. The event is open to the public.
