Bumpass, VA – The community is rallying to support Lake Anna Rescue Inc. (LARI), a crucial volunteer-based rescue squad, through the Lifesavers Challenge, a multi-team fundraising competition. The initiative runs through the end of September and aims to raise essential funds for LARI’s only rescue boat on the private side of Lake Anna, which is now 25 years old and in dire need of replacement.
About the Lifesavers Challenge
The Lifesavers Challenge unites various teams representing workplaces, schools, neighborhoods, churches, families, and community organizations. Each team, guided by a dedicated Team Captain, is driven by a shared commitment to support LARI’s life-saving mission. Teams will engage in a variety of fundraising activities, leveraging their networks to generate support for the cause.
Teams and Events
One team led by Nathan Dobbins of Dobbins Realty, called team “Let’s Goooo,” is a group passionate about making a significant impact. They are actively seeking donations and participation to ensure LARI can continue its vital services. To support “Let’s Goooo” and learn more about their efforts, visit their donation page.
Another dynamic team, “Benefit Brigade,” led by co-captains Marie Snyder and Susan Kingsbury, is hosting the Boots & Buckles Barn Bash. This lively barn dance event is scheduled for June 29, from 6 PM to 10 PM, and promises an evening of fun with music, barbecue, and non-stop dancing. The event aims to bring the community together to raise funds for the new rescue boat. Take a look at their event page here.
Why Support is Crucial
Lake Anna Rescue Inc. plays a vital role in responding to emergencies around the lake. As a 100% volunteer organization, their resources are stretched thin, and the current rescue boat’s age highlights the urgent need for a new, fully-equipped vessel. The funds raised through the Lifesavers Challenge will directly contribute to enhancing LARI’s capabilities, ensuring they can continue to provide top-notch emergency services.
Get Involved
There are many ways to participate in the Lifesavers Challenge. Form a team, join an existing team, or make a direct donation. Every contribution counts and helps LARI continue its essential work. Hi! I’m Jennifer Bailey and I partner with entrepreneurs who have massive ideas that could change the world. Most marketing is meaningless. Filled with empty promises, its only job is to bring in new traffic, new leads, and new customers. But I’ve drawn a line in the sand, and I’ve learned that marketing can do so much more than reach business goals and build profit. My methods give businesses the fire and soul they need to reach the right people, set the groundwork for sustainable relationships, and offer true value to the people on both the giving and receiving ends of marketing.
