Spotsylvania County Schools is hosting the Culinary Star competition, showcasing the culinary skills of middle school students across the county. The theme for this year’s event is creating dishes with every color of the rainbow, emphasizing the importance of a diverse diet for health and nutrition.
Students have submitted their recipes, aiming to secure a spot in the upcoming live competition. The top entries will be featured in a recipe book, with proceeds benefiting the winning student’s school.
The finalists include Emma Razor from Battlefield Middle, Sevryn Thomas, and Shanise Small from Chancellor Middle, Zoey Haislip from Freedom Middle, and Piper Moon from Ni River Middle. These students will compete at Spotsylvania’s Career and Technical Center on March 27th from 6 pm to 8 pm.
The competition aims to highlight the culinary talent within Spotsylvania County Schools and promote healthy eating habits among students.

Hi! I’m Jennifer Bailey and I partner with entrepreneurs who have massive ideas that could change the world. Most marketing is meaningless. Filled with empty promises, its only job is to bring in new traffic, new leads, and new customers. But I’ve drawn a line in the sand, and I’ve learned that marketing can do so much more than reach business goals and build profit. My methods give businesses the fire and soul they need to reach the right people, set the groundwork for sustainable relationships, and offer true value to the people on both the giving and receiving ends of marketing.
