Stacie and Matt Chandler didn’t have a lot of family around while growing up. They dreamed of having a yard full of children and grandchildren, creating a lively, chaotic, and loving home environment. And that’s exactly what they got.

“Our why has always been family for us. Having such a large family, we realized we had great insight into what families need—space, comfort, and all those little things you might not think of when walking into or designing a house. My husband has these amazing design ideas; he can see what’s not there, which is a double-edged sword sometimes. Improving people’s lives and making their homes is our optimal goal. It’s where you’re raising your family and creating your memories, so make it the best it can be.”

Matt and Stacie Chandler’s journey together spans 22 years, with 19 of those as a married couple. Their bond has been the cornerstone of every endeavor they’ve undertaken, and their commitment to each other and their family shines through in everything they do. As Stacie Chandler, an associate broker at Lake Anna Island Realty and co-owner of Chandler & Company Properties, explains:

“People ask if it’s always this loud and chaotic at home, and I say absolutely. If it’s quiet, I don’t know what to do with myself.”

Founded in 2003 by Matt Chandler, Jade Construction Company, LLC, stands as a testament to Matt’s second-generation builder heritage and his innate gift for design. Specializing in new homes, additions, remodeling, kitchens, and bathrooms, the company has earned a reputation for quality and excellence. Matt’s commitment to bettering the home-building process stemmed from a challenging personal experience, inspiring him to ensure that every client’s journey to homeownership is a positive and memorable one. Stacie proudly shares:

“Matt has been creating things out of thin air since he was born, with a hammer in his hand. He’s known his entire life what he wanted to do,” explained Stacie. “When I met him at 22, he was already running jobs and has always been the most reliable person I’ve ever met.”

Their family legacy continues with Kyle, founder of Wylder Homes and Renovations; Aleigha, a graduate of LCHS and Mary Baldwin University with honors, Aleigha volunteers at the Louisa Resource Council food bank; Madison joined her mother in founding Chandler & Company Properties and serves the community through Louisa County Parks, Recreation, and Tourism. Taylor is a rising senior at LCHS who plans to attend Germanna Community College to pursue a degree in nursing; Matthew, 16, has completed his schooling online and currently works for a local contracting company. He plans to attend lineman school when he turns 18 and is keen on starting his own excavating company.

“We are here to help as many families as we can to love Lake Anna as much as we do.”

All my kids plan to stay around here, be part of the community, and continue to add to it. Matthew already plans to run an excavating company and says, ‘I always want to be here; this is our home.’ We’re creating generations and generations of more Chandlers.”

As they continue to build and grow their businesses and their family, the Chandlers remain committed to their core values, ensuring that Lake Anna remains a wonderful place to live for generations to come.
